Are you ready to keep those outdoor festival vibes going? David Lam Park Jazz Weekend returns June 29 & 30. Time for more fun in the sun (fingers crossed about the sun), free music, dancing, and an all-ages all-around good time. Gather your friends and family and head on down to Yaletown!
Here are a few tips and tricks to get you prepared!
We never know what type of weather this time of year will bring so come prepared for it all. Bring sunscreen, wear layers, an umbrella, something to sit/lay on the grass, the right footwear, and of course – stay hydrated.
I WANT TO RIDE MY BICYCLE
There will be a bike valet! Avoid the hassle of traffic and parking and cycle to David Lam. Lock your bike up in style and safely. You may have seen the bike valet at Downtown Jazz this past weekend. The one at David Lam is located in the grassy area at the end of Roundhouse Mews across from the Elsie Roy Elementary School.
YOU WON’T MISS OUT ON THE ACTION
There will be a giant LED-viewing screen next to the stage so you’ll be able to see the fantastic artists up close and personal no matter where you are sitting/standing.
YOU WON’T BE HANGRY (hungry & angry – no one wants that)
There will be so many fantastic food options to choose from:
B&B Gourmet Salad and Wrap
Helm’s Mobile Kitchen
Jamaican Mi Juicy
Kampong – Taste of Malaysia
Rocky Point Ice Cream
MY KIND OF GARDEN – THE BEER GARDEN
There is one large garden bar located on the West End of the park directly across from the main stage where you’ll be able to enjoy organic beers from gold sponsor Mill Street or a glass of Dirty Laundry wine – our official wine supplier. New to the festival this year as our official specialty beverage supplier is Goodridge & Williams (maker of Nutrl). You can also enjoy these three sumptuous products; Nutrl sugar free vodka soda in a can, Tempo Gin Smash, and Sid made Something Else slightly sweet craft Vodka refresher. Non-alcoholic options too!
MAIN STAGE SCHEDULE
Saturday June 29
Sunday June 30
GET IN THE ZONE
If you need to take a load off where you can sit on a comfy couch and relax in the shade, head to the TD Zone for a well deserved break! There will also be an arts & crafts area and the playground to keep the kidlets busy.
Tons of things to do and see at David Lam Park this weekend! We hope to see you there!
