Welcome back! Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Vancouver International Jazz Festival again this year! We greatly value our volunteers and your loyalty is cherished.

If you have volunteered in the past few years you should already have a MyImpactPage account (aka MyVolunteerPage).

Please go to MyImpactPage.com, sign in to your account, and update your profile as needed (Qualifications are important for shift access). If you have forgotten your username or password, click on “Forgot your username or password?” and follow the prompts.

If you are a returning volunteer but have not volunteered since 2017, you will need to apply as a new volunteer. Please do so here.

As always, in addition to your volunteer experience in the community, we offer perks!

Please have a look through the volunteer perks below for each amount of volunteer hours committed.

With great care and consideration of our volunteers and the festival, we have made some updates to our program. As the festival and attendees continue to evolve, so must we! We appreciate your contributions and strive to create a positive experience for everyone involved.

What are the different volunteer levels/benefits?

For volunteers that commit to 12-23 hours:

  • Rush access to Festival shows
  • Second to pick up volunteer packets
  • Vancouver International Jazz Festival T-shirt
  • Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party on July 3, 2023

For volunteers that commit to 24+ hours and Crew Chiefs:

  • Front-of-the-Line Rush access to Festival shows
  • First to pick up volunteer packets
  • Vancouver International Jazz Festival T-shirt
  • Vancouver International Jazz Festival Tote Bag
  • Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party

How does the Festival Rush Pass work?

As a reminder, your Vancouver International Jazz Festival (VIJF) ID is your access to shows! A percentage of seats are held at all venues specifically for volunteers (except QET, Playhouse, and Fox Cabaret).

Look for the VIJF-ID Holders line up and present your pass to the box office before a show to request one of these free seats. Many shows are in high demand, so arrive early to increase your chances. Hot tip! Call the Volunteer Hotline to check that day’s availability for shows. This line is updated around 5pm daily: 236-512-1898.

You may bring a plus one to shows at Ocean Art Works, but not to other venues.

What is a Front-of-the-Line or FOL Pass?

Volunteer Crew Chiefs and those signed up for 24+ hours of shifts will be given FOL Passes and have first access to the Volunteer Allotment before VIJF-ID Holders.

If you have a FOL Pass you MUST show up at least 30 minutes before the event. Look for the VIJF-ID FOL Holders line up.

You will not have to wait in the VIJF-ID Holders line unless other FOL pass holders who arrived before you have filled the allotment.

If you show up less than 30 minutes before the show  you forfeit your FOL pass privileges and will need to join the VIJF-ID Holder line up.

If there are unsold seats remaining after the volunteer pass allotment is filled, we may allow a certain number of volunteers into the venue on a first-come, first-served basis.
