The Jake Huse Quartet
The Jake Huse Quartet makes its Jazz Fest debut with a groove-filled set of jazz-blues, classics by Coltrane, Miles, and Mingus, plus rhythmically adventurous originals. Saxophonist Jake Huse has performed around the world—from Montreal and Paris to Mombasa and Tokyo—bringing global influences, reggae-inspired rhythms, and a deep love of jazz into his music. Joining him are some of Vancouver’s standout young jazz talents: Max Huberdeau piano, Wynston Minckler bass, and Arvind Ramdas drums. Together, they promise an energetic and deeply grooving performance.
