Coastal Jazz is proud to welcome BCLC back as a major Festival partner for 2024, including the return of the BCLC Community Ticketing Program! With the help of partners like BCLC we’re able to fulfill our mission of making live music accessible to all communities, and we want you and your organization to have a chance to be a part of the festival fun this summer. This initiative provides complimentary Jazz Festival tickets to local not-for-profit societies and/or charities. Organizations can apply for up to ten (10) tickets each for a performance at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, and Performance Works during the Jazz Festival.
The Festival is known for showcasing both local and world-class musicians. This year the Queen Elizabeth theater will feature an incredible show by Killer Mike, three-time Grammy winner for his most recent album “MICHAEL.” The Vancouver Playhouse will host performances from the phenomenal Julian Lage and Veronica Swift. Performance Works will see features from the likes of Irreversible Entanglements, The Messthetics and James Brandon Lewis, Laaraji, Aja Monet and more. So you and your team have the chance of a wide variety of acts to attend!
In the spirit of BCLC’s pillar of helping communities in BC flourish, they give $1 billion back to the province every year to support communities. Last year alone the BCLC Community Ticketing program helped us give 131 tickets to over 12 different nonprofit organizations who shared in the magic of live music at the festival:
“I want to thank you for helping organize another amazing interaction of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival!”
“I was very fortunate to attend the Chris Botti concert at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for this year’s festival. The concert was fabulous and I even got to chat with the headliner himself at the meet and greet after the show. Hats off to the BCLC Community Ticketing program.”
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of the program. Apply on behalf of your charity or organization by June 9 for consideration.
