Bassist William Chernoff’s trio with guitarist Francis Henson and drummer Carson Tworow is unfussy, “refreshingly accessible music” (All About Jazz). Although Will’s warmly melodic repertoire leans firmly straight-ahead, the group can venture beyond swing into ECM-inspired sounds of the Steve Swallow and Bill Frisell variety.
