Founded by Michael Kim and Fred Stride in 2015, Vancouver Legacy Jazz Orchestra plays tribute to the world’s greatest big band composers, the likes of Rob McConnell, Thad Jones, Oliver Nelson, and Bill Holman. Tonight’s lineup features Chad Makela (baritone saxophone); Chris Startup, Ingrid Stitt, Bill Abbott, Joshua Capri, Jerry Cook (saxophone); Michael Kim, Brad Turner, Eric Weiden, Daniel Hersog (trumpet); Rod Murray, Brian Harding, Ellen Marple, Sharman King (trombone); Fred Stride (piano), Alexander Flock (guitar), Graham Clark (bass), and Bernie Arai (drums).
