One of the city’s most dynamic drummers returns to Frankie’s After Dark with a brand new trio featuring Cole Woodland on upright bass and Ru Ha on tenor and soprano saxophone. Inspired by a range of innovators in Black American music, including Alice Coltrance, Jeff Parker and Brian Blade, this trio embraces the practice of playing into a mood or external (non-musical) source of inspiration with patience and imagination.
