Berlin-based drummer/percussionist Susie Ibarra is joined in collaborative exploration by three of creative music’s most thoughtful improvisers. Cat Toren is a JUNO Award-winning pianist whose atmospheric abstractions and inventive harmonic layering combine deep human warmth with creative fire. Expressive West Coast bassist Tommy Babin (Haram, Benzene) is equal parts solid, searching, and searing. Vancouver-based drummer Jen Yakamovich’s work focuses on the relationship between sound, social ecologies, and embodiment.
