Modern jazz that's not so odd!
The name of this cooperative quartet alludes to the unusual, unique and exceptional, which accurately describes the music they create. Formed a decade ago as an opportunity to work with each other on new challenges expanding the modern jazz praxis, Oddity features four musicians with wide-ranging paths. Their repertoire includes original compositions and arrangements by all the band members as well as works by Kurt Rosenwinkle, Chris Potter, Claude Ranger and more. With Jon Bentley tenor saxophone, André Lachance electric guitar, Tommy Babin double bass and Bernie Arai drums and cymbals.
