Norm Quinn’s Q5 Jazz Collective is a Vancouver Modern Jazz Quintet inspired by the great bands of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, The Adderly Brothers, and Charles Mingus. Five of Vancouver’s finest musicians play a program of original compositions and choice standards in a Post Bop meets West Coast style with elements of African and Latin Swing and soulful endearing ballads.
