Saxophonist Mike Allen and his band perform new and classic compositions by Canadian guitar legend Sonny Greenwich. As a member of Sonny Greenwich’s bands in the 1990s, Mike’s playing first began to crystallize into what Victoria Times columnist Joe Blake called “organically constructed tangents of inspired improvisation… economical statements with an emotive power.” Sonny’s musical influence and friendship continue to be a great source of inspiration and Mike is proud to dedicate this night to a celebration of Sonny Greenwich and his legacy.
