Mazacote is a hard-hitting world latin party band playing brass-soaked tropical dance beats. Inspired by the sounds of Colombia, Mozambique and Nicaragua, they weave driving rhythms and heavy groove with a socially conscious message. The band released their 3rd album “Patria” on Justin Time/Nettwerk Music in October 2019. Performing together since 2009, Mazacote features the captivating voice of Nicaraguan singer/songwriter David Lopez and a groove-heavy rhythm section with Frankie Hidalgo on Bass, Chris Couto on Timbales, Robin Layne on Congas, Japanese pianist Niho Takase and jazz trumpeter Malcolm Aiken.
