MAZACOTE is a hard-hitting world Latin party band playing brass soaked tropical dance beats. Inspired by the sounds of Colombia, Mozambique, and Nicaragua – they weave driving rhythms and heavy groove with a socially conscious message. The band is set to release their 3rd album, Patria, on Justin Time Records in October 2019.

Performing together since 2009, Mazacote features the captivating voice of Nicaraguan singer/songwriter David Lopez and a groove-heavy rhythm section with Frankie Hidalgo bass, Chris Couto timbales, Robin Layne congas, Japanese pianist Niho Takase, and jazz trumpeter Malcolm Aiken.
