Singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist Marin Patenaude’s absorbing sound is earthy, soulful, and achingly beautiful, evoking comparisons to Joni Mitchell and kd lang. Marin’s pure voice and “heart-rending emotional breadth” (American Songwriter) weave together folk, blues, and hints of country into something sublimely intangible and alternative with Cole Schmidt (Pugs & Crows) guitar, Pete Schmitt (Inhabitants) bass, and John Raham (Frazey Ford) drums. Her sophomore album Sight Unseen was released in 2020 amidst a world of uncertainty, and she’ll be releasing a follow-up album in 2022 that adventures into new and exciting sounds and feelings.
