These three musicians are invaluable contributors to the Canadian and International music scene. Weaving together a complex array of sonorities, influences and styles, they turn their empathic playing into a kaleidoscopic, virtuosic, and infectiously uplifting music. François Houle has been called “a spectacularly versatile clarinetist who appears to have no limitations stylistically or sonically” by the LA Times. Persian Tombak virtuoso Hamin Honari has toured the world with the legendary Dastan Ensemble, one of Iran’s most well-known Persian classical music ensembles. Itamar Erez is a versatile composer, guitarist/pianist who has shared the stage with such musicians as Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Tomatito, Avishai Cohen, Jean-Louis Matinier, Zohar Fresco, and others. His music blends the delicateness of Middle Eastern music, the freedom found in jazz and the passion of flamenco, creating a unique sound all his own.
