Ludic’s explosive and delightfully bright groove-pop is an unhesitating cannonball into the deep end of the pool. Featuring guitarist Ayla Tesler-Mabe (Calpurnia), drummer Rhett Cunningham, and bassist/keyboardist Max Cunningham, the young Vancouver trio’s inventive, instantly addictive, and “delightfully off-kilter” (Vancouver Sun) indie jazz/funk/pop tunes draw influence from icons like Stevie Wonder and the postmodern soul of Hiatus Kaiyote.
