Louis Quinn is comprised of established top Vancouver jazz, funk, and blues musicians Doug Louie on piano and Dave Quinn on clarinet and saxophone. The band collaborate to write, perform, and record original material that is funk driven with rhythm and soul that stands outside the box.  Tight harmonic vocals, burning sax, and a driving rhythm section spells out “Now Hear This!” Percussionist Nick Apivor joins them for this show, known locally as the ‘alchemist of sound’ playing vibes, marimba, piano, congas, and a plethora of persussion instruments. Guest vocalist Patty V is a pint sized powerhouse who sings all forms of music from jazz and R&B to Broadway & pop.
