Pianist Jillian Lebeck plays with a powerful modern sensibility. Her imaginative solos and intricate rhythmic playing have made her one of the city’s favourite musicians. Her unbelievable, comprehensive command of the history of jazz piano is apparent whether she is playing standard tunes or original compositions.
