Feven Kidane is a dynamic Vancouver-based trumpeter, composer, and bandleader. A member of several of the city’s music scenes ranging from jazz to spoken word to psychedelic country, Feven’s well-known in circles both underground and above. Feven brings her newly-formed sextet, true poets in their own right and voice, to this year’s Fest: Nebyu Yohannes trombone, Noah Franche-Nolan piano, John Nicholson tenor saxophone, Milo Johnson bass, and Edmonton’s Biboye Onanuga drums.
