Filled with New Orleans charm, Memphis soul swagger and tender gospel passages, Davina and The Vagabonds’ music synthesize 100 years of American tradition with tunes combining both edgy nostalgia and fresh new music. Led by saucy vocalist/keys Davina Sowers, the band has released a trio of albums filled with Crescent City-inflected blues, jazz, and R&B. Compared to the likes of Etta James, Amy Winehouse, and Billie Holiday, Davina is backed by acoustic bass, drums, and a spicy trumpet and trombone horn section.
