Unwritten Thursdays is a new monthly series at Tyrant Studios presented by Barking Sphinx Performing Society and Coastal Jazz. The first show on November 16th includes two separate sets of music for drums and guitar featuring Dan Weiss and Miles Okazaki from NYC. Dan and Miles have been performing as a duo for over two decades. Based in Brooklyn, both have extensive credits as composers and side projects. The Paris Review noted, “Both are absolute masters on their instruments… they are both deeply dedicated to realizing each other’s artistic visions.”

In 2020, they started the Cygnus Recordings label, and released Music for Drums and Guitar, a double album of original music. This concert will feature music from this suite as well as more recent work.
