In the spring of 2004 we see the beginning of Brejera when Mario Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Trevor Murray (Nova Scotia, Canada) started to experiment with samba and choro music together. From this point on the band was serving up styles of traditional samba, baião, frevo and choro. Venturing into a mix of Mario Silva on 7 string guitar/vocals, Trevor Murray on cavaquinho/vocals, Bruno Matos on pandeiro/vocals, Steve Bagnell on sax and Aiko Sato on trombone. Brejera will deliver authentic and spontaneous fine Brazilian music to the audience.
