Trombonist Andy Hunter is a member of the multiple Grammy Award winning WDR Big Band (Germany) and has toured around the world with the Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra, the Dave Holland Big Band, and the Spanish Harlem Jazz Orchestra. Andy’s current highlight projects include Latin Jazz Quintet Viento Terral, which just released its 2nd album featuring guest Bob Mintzer and directing the “Mambísimo Big Band,” a Mambo Big Band conjuring the era of dance music inspired by Tito Puente’s classic big band. With James Danderfer clarinet/saxophone, Conrad Good bass, and Nicholas Bracewell drums.
