Book your holiday get-together at Frankie’s Jazz Club

Not only is Frankie’s Jazz Club open five nights a week in December, we also have three very special holiday-themed shows for you to toast the season with family and friends.

Micah Barnes
December 17, 8pm

“Nicely bridges the gap between Cole Porter and Elvis Costello” – The Globe and Mail

Micah’s New York Stories, released in 2015, pays homage to the rich musical history of the Big Apple harking back to the Cotton Club, the Brill Building, The Apollo Theatre, and Broadway. The first single “New York Story” shot to the top of the Jazz charts in both Canada and the USA and resulted in Micah being named the Toronto Indie Awards Best Jazz Act of 2014.

Micah is currently recording a new album transporting the listener back to the days of legendary Vegas showrooms when the worlds top entertainers worked the strip: featuring songs first recorded by Sammy Davis Jr, Tony Bennet, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme, and Frank Sinatra.

For his performance at Frankie’s Jazz Club, Micah is joined by Tilden Webb piano, Jodi Proznick bass, Jesse Cahill drums.
