A mainstay of Vancouver’s cultural scene, Coastal Jazz ranks as one of BC’s largest not-for-profit music presenters and strives to create opportunities for jazz, in all its creative forms, to be accessible to everyone.
In addition to presenting exceptional music, we are a leader in many outreach activities that enrich our community. Our educational outreach efforts give emerging artists valuable performance opportunities, create collaborations that further the practice of jazz, and expose us to other perspectives. We are dedicated to initiatives that enrich the art form and bolster our arts community.

All donors to Coastal Jazz will receive a charitable tax receipt, access to donor exclusive ticket pre-sales (get the best seats in the house!), acknowledgement by name in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival guidebook, and more exciting opportunities throughout the year.
WHAT YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS:
- Free Concerts: During the 10-day Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Coastal Jazz offers over 50 concerts for free to the public.
- Performance Opportunities: Coastal Jazz provides opportunities for young, emerging artists to perform during the Vancouver International Jazz Festival on the Sounds of Youth stage.
- Artistic Collaborations: Coastal Jazz organizes and facilitates creative partnerships between international and local jazz artists, making Vancouver a centre for creative improvised jazz.
- Indigenous Artist Residencies: Working with local partners such as Full Circle: First Nations Performance, we present performance and workshop opportunities showcasing our Indigenous community.
- Education & Outreach initiatives: Free workshops are offered during the Festival for our community to learn from the artists we present.
