This appointment comes at a time when the organization is looking ahead to a bright future. Following three years under a distributed leadership structure, the return to an Executive Director position comes at a time where the organization has retired its deficit, endured COVID, produced the first major live festival following  the pandemic, and emerged on a solid financial base. The organization is excited to look to the future with fresh energy and enthusiasm.

After a 3-month search, Nina Horvath emerged as the clear choice. Nina is an experienced administrator grounded in a performing arts background. As Executive Director of the Vancouver Bach Choir, she led the organization to historically high enrollment numbers, continued artistic success, and a strong financial footing. Her passion for the arts extends into performing as a pianist and choral singer, and serving her community as a member of the board of the BC Choral Federation. She is passionate about collaborative leadership, and finding new ways to bring memorable music experiences to as many people as possible. When not immersed in music, you can find her roaming the local mountains.

Nina will join us on a part-time basis beginning November 1, and take the ED reins full time beginning January 2022. Please join us in welcoming her and if you see her out and about, do say hello!
