She is joined by her longtime band mates – Tilden Webb on piano\, Steve Kaldestad on tenor saxophone\, and Jesse Cahill on drums.

DESCRIPTION:In the late ’70s guitarist Lenny Breau and pedal steel guitarist Buddy Emmons teamed up and recorded an album entitled Minors Aloud. Recorded in Nashville\, the album became a hard-to-find classic and a must-listen for guitarists of any kind. \nTony Wilson on guitar and Scott Smith on pedal steel\, along with Russell Sholberg on bass and Liam Macdonald on drums\, will play the entire album as well as other tunes Lenny and Buddy collaborated on.

DESCRIPTION:San Francisco-based saxophonist and composer Michael Zilber has been a part of the stellar New York scene\, but his roots will always be in Vancouver. Zilber has been described by NEA Jazz Legend David Liebman as “one of the best players and composers around anywhere. Period!” and All About Jazz raves “Zilber is one of the true masters of modern jazz saxophone.” \nIn this\, his only Vancouver show of 2019\, he is joined by Seattle greats Marc Seales on piano and Jeff Johnson on bass\, as well as Vancouver’s finest Bernie Arai on drums.

This group’s intention is to create a unique juxtaposition of beautiful sounds while nurturing playful interplay between its members. Laura and Bill have been co-creating a book of new songs that speaks of their love of creating mood and feeling through melody and lyrics.
