DESCRIPTION:In 1990 Bill’s first quintet\, The Creatures of Habit won the Grand Prix at the CBC-Alcan Jazz Competition in Montreal. He has recorded with such artists as Michael Buble\, INXS\, Jim Byrnes\, K-os\, Long John Baldry\, Divine Brown\, Tower Of Power Horns\, Hard Rubber Orchestra\, Powder Blues & VEJI. Live shows include; The Funk Bros.\, Frank Sinatra Jr.\, Michael Feinstein\, Josh Groban\, the VSO\, Colin James\, Arturo Sandoval\, Natalie Cole\, & Heart. Bill’s last CD; A Tribute to the South American Masters was released in 2006. \nThis new quintet features some of Canada’s finest jazz musicians performing original music from Bill’s solo projects and a variety of favourite tunes from the likes of Steps Ahead\, Weather Report\, and Pat Metheny. \nWith Bill Runge saxophone\, Kristian Alexandrov piano\, Nick Apivor vibes\, Miles Hill bass\, and Bernie Arai drums.
