With Conrad Good bass\, Todd Stewart drums\, Julian Jayme guitar\, Jocelyn Waugh trumpet\, and Ma’Afu Keteca saxophone\, the Vancouver-based Saba Amrei’s Persian Party revives a golden era of Iranian music through the lens of jazz\, improvisation\, and modern collaboration\, and imagines a world where jazz never stopped in Iran\, and where Latin and Brazilian influences kept evolving within the deep grooves\, storytelling\, and spontaneous interplay of Iranian improv and dance music. \nThanks to the Graham and Gayle Cooke Foundation. \nTickets will be available at the door.

DESCRIPTION:Prado Monroe is an Afro-Métis\, Vancouver-based polymath who bends Alt-Pop\, Electronic\, Rap\, and Hyperpop into a sound entirely her own. After breaking out with her ZDBT collaboration Elastic and earning global attention\, she returns in 2026 with new music on HOTLORD—bringing her unapologetic\, larger-than-life performance energy back to the stage. \nZDBT (Zachary David Boynton Treble) is a Vancouver producer\, DJ\, and live performer known for his expansive\, genre-spanning sound. With releases on Ghostly\, Specials Worldwide\, ISLA\, and Delicate Records\, he joins Prado Monroe live on July 4 for a dynamic set of vocals and electronics in conversation. \n5 Nights in Paradise is a late-night series at Ocean Artworks on Granville Island\, running across five evenings of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. Co-presented by UV\, Paradise Cultural Society\, and Coastal Jazz\, the series brings together some of the most respected selectors and performers from Vancouver’s soulful underground and independent music communities — artists rooted in the city who have spent years shaping its dance floors\, record culture\, and DIY creative scene. \nPresented in association with Talking Stick Festival.
