Ron Di Lauro Sextet’s masterful interpretation captures the spirit of the album while infusing it with a modern sensibility – its timeless qualities blend with the individual voices of the musicians. Di Lauro channels the essence of Davis\, whose playing was characterized by lyrical beauty and understated yet relentless adventurism. With Jean-Pierre Zanella alto sax\, André Leroux tenor sax\, Taurey Butler piano\, Ira Coleman bass\, Martin Auguste drums. \nPresented in association with North Shore Jazz.
