The Feven Kidane Sextet is a feel-good jazz project headed by trumpeter Feven Kidane, a staple of the Vancouver music scene. Inspired by the engaging leadership of Dizzy Gillespie, the sonics of the “Three Roys” (Ayers, Hargrove, Brooks), and the beauty of the Black experience, the Feven Kidane Sextet shares songs of joy, wonder, sensitivity, and connection.
