Possessing a fluid technique\, innovative tonal palette\, and expansive repertoire\, this young superstar plays with the command of a seasoned veteran and the passion of an artist fully devoted to his craft. Since the early-1960’s\, Houston Person has done his soulful part to keep the bluesy\, thick-toned tenor saxophone tradition alive. A soul-jazz giant\, Person has spun blues\, ballads\, and R&B classics with a Who’s Who of jazz\, including Johnny Hammond\, Etta Jones\, and Ron Carter. With Russell Hall bass\, and Evan Sherman drums.
