DESCRIPTION:Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio—or DLO3 as it’s sometimes called—specializes in the lost art of “feel-good music”\, and what feels just right can be different every night. \nBandleader Delvon Lamarr is as masterful on the mighty Hammond as he is at connecting with audiences. Called “a sonic encyclopedia” by American Songwriter\, Lamarr shapes unforgettable live experiences by responding to the vibe of a particular night and drawing readily from the 1960s organ jazz stylings of Jimmy Smith and Baby Face Willette\, the snappy soul strut of Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Meters\, and surprising treats and teases from Motown\, Stax Records\, the blues\, and beyond. \nThe trio started from humble beginnings in 2015\, but since then has released several Billboard charting albums and toured the world to sold-out venues\, while Delvon Lamarr—a self-taught organ virtuoso—was named a Rising Star in the 70th Annual DownBeat Critics Poll (2022). \nThe spirit of variety and excitement extends to the DLO3 lineup as well. Lamarr rounds out his trio with a shifting crew of top-flight guitarists and drummers worldwide who help fuel the energy and sheer un-repeatability of each live performance.
