DESCRIPTION:Presented with   \nThere are many faces and personalities to Vancouver-based blues singer Dalannah Gail Bowen. All of those personalities have something in common—a spark\, joy\, determination\, and a fire inside. Born of African Canadian and Cherokee heritage\, Dalannah has been making blues\, rock\, and soul music for over 40 years. \nSince starting her musical career with the all-female group The Feminine Touch she has had a storied career as a vocalist\, and has performed with or opened for acts such as The Monkees\, The Guess Who\, Led Zeppelin\, B.B. King\, and Willie Dixon\, and was honoured as a Master Artist by the NY Blues Hall of Fame. In 2015 Downbeat Magazine named her CD Been Around a While one of the top blues CDs of the year. Her latest release\, 2019’s Looking Back is another step in a new and more introspective direction\, with the music drawing more heavily from Dalannah’s own personal story.
