SUMMARY:Chelsea McBride and the Cityscape: Vancouver Edition
DESCRIPTION:Award-winning saxophonist Chelsea McBride\, recently named one of Canada’s top 35 under 35 jazz musicians by the CBC\, makes her return westward to debut the Vancouver version of her pop-influenced jazz sextet\, Chelsea and the Cityscape. Their full-length debut album What I Do was released in 2016 and has been featured on the CBC\, JAZZFM91\, and Women of Substance Radio. Blending her pop and rock roots with her jazz training\, Chelsea’s unique songwriting style strikes at the heart of what it means to be a millennial in the big city. With Aine Corrigan-Frost (vocals)\, Nick Varelas (piano)\, Julian Jayme (guitar)\, Evan Gratham (bass)\, and Ethan Honeywell (drums).
