DESCRIPTION:“Painterly and understated in his singular approach to music” (Willamette Week)\, drummer Billy Mintz has worked with Lee Konitz\, Charles Lloyd\, and Sylvie Courvoisier. In addition to his career as a performer he has been a prolific educator\, having taught at NYU\, Berklee\, North Texas\, and many other institutions. \nBilly will give a one hour drum workshop based on his experience performing and teaching. \nYou can see Billy perform with John Gross on July 1\, 3:15pm at the Roundhouse Performance Centre as part of our Innovation Series. MORE INFO \n
