DESCRIPTION:Anteloper shares the iconic Chicago Underground Duo’s “penchant for heavy electronic textures—synthesized bass lines\, amorphous acidic squiggles\, washes and counter-riffs” (Chicago Reader) while adding heavy\, cosmic\, punk energy and skewed pop undertones. Trumpeter Jaimie Branch (Fly or Die) and drummer Jason Nazary (Little Women) have been collaborating for years\, both playing their main instrument plus synthesizers/electronics. With deep rhythmic passages\, telepathic improvisations\, and effortless melodic negotiations\, Anteloper bounds freely over the grassy plains of jazz\, electro\, and free music.
