This Swiss/French/American trio of composer/improvisers dig deeply into extended technique, engaged and uncompromising free jazz, and ambient abstraction with the poise and intensity of forward-thinking masters. A highly innovative free player, Swiss-born trombonist Samuel Blaser plays with colour and texture, while France’s Benoit Delbecq, a pianist who merges divergent influences such as Gyorgy Ligeti, John Cage, Steve Lacy, and ambient electronica, is “utterly fascinating.” (The Telegraph). Longtime Anthony Braxton collaborator, American drummer Gerry Hemingway has been on the leading edge of creative music since the early 70’s, and has worked with John Butcher and Ellery Eskelin.
