Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will work with the marketing and communications team consisting of staff, consultants and suppliers on all aspects of the marketing of Coastal Jazz productions.


• Assist with creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely execution, tracking progress and gathering analytics
• Website updates
• Plan and coordinate the delivery of website event announcements and e-newsletters
• Coordinate and execute the creation and distribution of collateral materials
• Liaise and coordinate with digital/social media teams
• Marketing administration duties including management of approved budgets, oversight of collateral production and distribution
• Media scheduling and mapping (Blocking Charts)
• Power Point presentations
• Management and implementation of sponsor onsite Pageantry program
• Creation, implementation and measurement of promotional activities including but not limited to: sponsor and media promotions
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, support and training to all team members when/where applicable


• A proven track record for successfully delivering products and campaigns
• Fully digital and social media conversant
• Excellent and accurate verbal and written communication skills in English
• Outstanding communication skills across a variety of mediums
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities
• Excellent planning and organization skills with a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge and experience of online strategies, HTML, SEO, CRM and SEM
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines
• Confident, outgoing, team player with a proactive can do attitude
• Willingness to learn and to share expertise
• Experience in dealing with suppliers such as graphic designers, printers, sign markers, etc.
• An ability to build good working relationships quickly and with all departments
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to supervise junior marketing staff
• Willingness to learn

Proficiency in the use of:
• Fully proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
• Knowledge and experience of CRM and Marketing Automation Systems
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and web management (NationBuilder) an asset

• A degree or diploma in marketing, business or communications

• At least 3 - 5 years' experience in communications/PR
• Online marketing/social media experience a must
• Entertainment/event industry experience not required but a significant asset
