About the Artists
Moving freely from avant-garde events to traditional concerts, the Montreal-based string quartet Quatuor Bozzini was characterized by the Irish Times as a “group which gets its teeth into music: quiet or loud, fast or slow, these Canadian musicians play with compelling engagement.” Deeply devoted to music as a universal language, these four young artists fervently embrace a repertoire from the classic and romantic periods to improvised music. The program for the concert includes the following compositional works:
Malcolm Goldstein—A New Song of Many Faces For In These Times (20 min)
Jo Kondo—Oneiric Prosody (2007) 12 min
Claude Vivier—Pulau Dewata (1977) 12 min
James Tenney—Koan (20 min)
