What's the easiest way to get to the festivities?

Leave your car at home, and bike to the island, to valet your bike right beside Ocean Concrete (between the Farmer's Market and ECAID). Or you can park off island at Easy Park, 1466 Old Bridge Street. Lots of transit options too!

What else is happening at Granville Island?

The island is packed with activities all day, including a multicultural parade at 1:30pm, starting at Ocean Concrete. Followed by opening speeches and CAKE at Ron Basford Park. Check out all the activities: Canada Day Events

We asked co-founders Ken Pickering & John Orysik who they are excited about seeing. And both agreed you should check out Neil Cowley Trio in our Made in the UK series and "The Newest Sound" - A Tribute to Jeanne Lee featuring Swedish vocalist Lina Nyberg

Ken also recommends checking out Hyper + with stellar Italian players Nicola Fazzini and Alessandro Fedrigo and John suggests the Simon Millerd Quintet fronted by CBC Galaxy Rising Star Award-winning Montreal trumpeter Simon Millerd.

Not only do we have live music performances all day at Granville Island, we also have a full day of music and more at David Lam Park and Roundhouse Community Centre across the water, in Yaletown.
