Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 26th Annual Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

We will be accepting applications for volunteers in the new year.  Our volunteers help in all aspects of the Festival and are a major part of what makes this Festival a success year after year!  There are a variety of opportunities to match your interests.

Special Notes

Drivers Needed

Each year we need drivers with a Class 4 license for artist transportation.  Drivers with the regular Class 5 license are also in demand for various office driving needs.  Daytime, afternoon and evening shifts will be available.

Production Volunteers Needed

For those with some knowledge and experience with staging, drums and equipment, we will likely have a number of exciting volunteer positions available on our Production Crew.  Please be aware that some heavy lifting is required on this crew.

Jazz Festival volunteer commitments and benefits

Volunteer benefits have changed in 2011, so please read below:

Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 20 hours over an average of 4-5 shifts.

If you volunteer between 20 and 31 hours you will receive a Volunteer T-shirt, an invitation to the volunteer party, a Volunteer Pass good for admittance to Festival concerts (space permitting) at the Roundhouse Performance Centre, Performance Works, Ironworks, and 2 hard tickets which can be used either as single tickets for two separate shows, or as a pair of tickets to a single show for you and a friend. The 2nd ticket in the pair does not have to be used by a volunteer!

If you volunteer 32 hours or more, or are serving as a Crew Chief, you will receive the same benefits as listed above and your pass will also be good for admittance (space permitting) into The Centre, The Vogue, and The Venue.

Note that we have introduced a NEW benefit this year: the option to select your hard tickets as a pair to a single show, enabling you to bring a guest. This has never been available before, and we are very excited to be able to offer it to you going forward.
