TOURING ARTISTS SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Due to the high volume of applications for our annual Jazz Festival we are changing the way our submission process works. In an effort to save everyone both time and money, we are moving to an “invitation only” process for our touring artist program (ie. International & Cdn) this year.

This means that if you would like to be considered - then simply send us a short note to ask whether it’s worthwhile to send further submission information. This note can include a website link or mp3 to submissions@coastaljazz.ca. Unfortunately we cannot respond to every email so please don’t be surprised if we aren’t able get back to you. If we are interested, but need further information, someone from the programming department will contact you. 

We need to emphasize that the festival has a limited number of performance opportunities. From year to year, we’re often not able to include incredible bands that we’d love to host. The reality is that we find ourselves backed up with extremely lengthy short lists. The issue is not always about whether the music is a good fit for the festival – too often we are simply faced with a need to make very difficult choices. 

Note: The above info is for International, USA, and Canadian based artists only.  The process for Metro Vancouver & BC artists has not changed.

Published CD’s should be mailed to our office.  Please include your name and contact information along with the name of the band you are submitting under.

Submission materials will not be returned.
