Schachte/Cronin Duo

Two fine Vancouver artists join forces in this exciting duo. Guitarist Budge Schachte is a swinging jazz guitarist and performs with the gypsy jazz band Van Django. Bassist Sean Cronin plays in a variety of groups and leads Very Good, also appearing in the festival.

Since moving permanently to Vancouver in 1983 he has worked with a stellar cast of diverse artists from poets to symphony orchestras and some key groups along the way: Tango Paradiso, Budge Schachte Quartet, Gypsalero, Karen Graves, Is Not Was, Olam, Sarah Marshall & All The Dreamers, Ache Brazil, Kane Taylor Explosion, Johnny Montuno (John Korsrud), Van Django and Blackstick...with tours in Canada the US and Europe.
