Pilc Moutin Hoenig
“The right hand runs of [French] jazz pianist Jean-Michel Pilc are enough to send shivers up your spine…a musical genius at work.”—Washington Post
Though his chops are formidable, it’s Pilc’s brilliant harmonic re-casting of standards that is almost unparalleled. He’s performed with many jazz icons from both sides of the pond including Roy Haynes, Michael Brecker, Kenny Garrett and Daniel Humair. His band mates include French bassist François Moutin whose outstanding work has been heard with Martial Solal, Randy Brecker and James Moody. Drummer Ari Hoenig’s complex rhythms suggest Elvin Jones and Jack DeJohnette. You’re gonna love this killer trio!
