Halifax’s Gypsophilia is definitely one of Canada’s most exciting young bands. Playing a seamless blend of Balkan-folk music and hip-swaying swing with a dynamic rock edge, they were initially inspired by Django Reinhardt. Their distinctive sound (on three CDs) now reflects the creativity of the group’s exciting and eclectic musicians.
