The rich voice of Grammy-and JUNO-nominated Cuban-Canadian Adonis Puentes offers a deeply soulful tribute to the legendary travadore, María Teresa Vera (1895-1965). The itinerant Afro-Cuban composer is celebrated both in the inclusion of some of her works, and through the influence of her unique and spirited sense of interpretation. The Voice of Cuba Orchestra is a hot, all-acoustic band that blends syncopated Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazzy horns, deep basslines, and melodic piano and guitar. With Carlos Frank Iraola trumpet, Alejandro Falcon piano, Dayron Ortega guitar, Yoriell Carmona tres, Bernardo Bolaño “Jorgito”percussion, Lino Lores bass.
